The Buckeyes came into National Signing Day waiting decisions from two offensive linemen after Doug Nester flipped to Virginia Tech on Tuesday night.
One decision was made early Wednesday afternoon as four-star recruit Enokk Vimahi announced he was signing with Ohio State.
Vimahi was also considering USC before committing to the Buckeyes.
The 6’5 270 pound offensive guard from Hawaii is the second-ranked recruit from the state, the seventh-ranked guard in the country and 119th-ranked overall prospect according to 247 Sports.
He was officially offered a scholarship last month and Ryan Day told reporters on Wednesday that he flew out to meet Vimahi for three hours. Vimahi visited Columbus and the school on January 25.
This gives the Buckeyes sixteen players from the Class of 2019 including four offensive lineman and they’re awaiting one final decision on National Signing Day.
Dawand Jones, a three-star offensive tackle from Indiana is making his official announcement on Wednesday evening on what school he’s choosing.
He’s reportedly down to Ohio State, Penn State, USC and Indiana.
