Leading up to the NFL Draft, I’ll be looking at the past Browns draft picks based on the picks they currently hold in the 2017 Draft.

Today we’re looking at the 175th pick, which the Browns have held three times previously 

1957: Dave Kaiser, Michigan State

No info available. Never played in an NFL game.

1985: WR Reggie Langhorne, Elizabeth City St.

A seventh round pick in the 1985 NFL Draft, Langhorne was an ideal size for a wide receiver in the pros but obviously had to work for his spot in the Browns offense when guys like Webster Slaughter, Brian Brennan and Ozzie Newsome were established already. 

Langhorne spent seven years with the Browns and was a solid target for Bernie Kosar. He had at least 39 catches and over 500 receiving yards in five of the seven seasons. His best season in Cleveland came in 1988 when he had 57 catches for 780 yards and seven touchdowns.

He spent two seasons in Indianapolis before retiring at the age of 30 and had his two best seasons as a pro there. His final NFL season was his best with 85 catches for 1,038 yards and three touchdowns. 

2013: S Jamoris Slaughter, Notre Dame

Browns took a chance on Slaughter with a sixth round pick in the 2013 Draft. He was coming off an Achilles injury so it was unknown if he’d ever play.

He spent the 2013 season on the practice squad and by June of 2014, he was released by the team and hasn’t played football since.
