Ryan Day continues to dominate Michigan off the field, Buckeye fans just hope it continues on the field come this November.
On Sunday, 2021 defensive end and Columbus native Jack Sawyer announced on Twitter that he was committing to the Ohio State University after visting the school on Saturday.
The 6’5, 219 pound strong side defensive end became the first commit to the Class of 2021. Obviously it’s a little early to talk about these players because their signings are still almost two years away but it’s a nice jump start by Day and defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
Sawyer is ranked third overall player in the country for the Class of 2021 by 247 Sports and the top ranked player in the state of Ohio.
Sawyer had 58 tackles (16.5 for a loss), 3.5 sacks and an interception as a freshman in 2017.
He was also considering Michigan State, Penn State and of course Michigan who made him an offer in January of 2018. The man who was recruiting him in Michigan, Al Washington is now with Ohio State as the linebackers coach.
