PICK 1:

Connor Williams. Tackle from Texas

I know, people I’m sure are shocked. The Browns need a QB at 1. Williams is the smart pick here. Immediately can come in and start RT, Shon Coleman has been a disaster, as he has been penalized the most in the league on the offensive line. Not only does Williams give you a starting RT next year, He also gets to be mentored by the best LT of all time. Cleveland can’t go wrong here.

Pick 4:

The Cleveland Browns select QB Josh Allen from Wyoming

Risky pick?

Allen has a very raw skill set, possibly the best in this draft class. It’s been rumored that new Browns GM John Dorsey really likes him.

I’m assuming the Browns bring in a veteran QB whether it be trade or in free agency. So don’t panic to much when you see this pick.

Dorsey got Alex Smith to Kansas City, wouldn’t surprise me if he’s in Cleveland next season.

He’d be perfect for Allen to sit behind for a few years, and he’s the veteran that could help compliment his game the most.

Round 2:

Pick 33:

The Cleveland Browns select Billy Price, Center from the Ohio State University

Standing at 6’4 312 pounds, Price proved he was the best center in America his senior year.

Smart and physical player who was the anchor on the Ohio State OL in the 2017 season, was dominant all season.

A lot of scouts have said Price is one of the best prospects at center they’ve ever seen.

The winner of the Rimington award for the best center in the nation.

After a disappointing season for JC Tretter, I have the Browns getting a complete steal with the first pick in the second round.

Round 2:

Pick 35:

The Cleveland Browns select Christian Kirk WR from Texas A&M

The Browns need playmakers at wideout.

Kirk is a dynamic playmaker not only catching the football but also in the return game.

Which after the dreadful 0-16 season for the Browns its clear they need a little bit of everything.

Kirk finished his career at A&M with 2,392 yards receiving in 35 games played, along with 21 touchdowns.

A total of 7 touchdowns from punt & kickoff returns Kirk is a slam dunk pick at 35 for the Browns.

Round 2:

Pick 63:

The Cleveland Browns select Simmie Cobbs Jr, WR from Indiana

Cobbs Jr stands at 6’4 220 pounds.

A huge target alongside a receiver corps that could include, Coleman, Kirk and Josh Gordon.

good hands and speed and a big target to hit in the red zone, Cobbs has shown me flashes of Mike Evans.

He’ll fit perfect in a pro system and I expect him to be a top wideout in this class.

Browns go receiver for the second pick in a row here at 63.

Round 3:

Pick 65:

The Cleveland Browns select RB Rashaad Penny from San Diego State.

BOOM!

Steal of the draft.

Mind blowing to me that this kid will be available in this spot, he just rushed for a 7.8 YPC average for 2,248 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Size problem? That won’t be an issue either, stands at 5’11 220 pounds.

I expect for Penny to clock in at about a 4.5 in his 40 yard dash in the combine as well.

This running back class in absolutely stacked, and Penny is one of the best in the nation, this pick will haunt every team who passes on him for years to come.

Round 4:

Pick 103:

The Cleveland Browns select CB Jaire Alexander from Louisville.

Essential that Cleveland makes picks to try and improve that horrendous secondary.

Great in coverage situations, Alexander showed quickness and a strong nose for the football at Louisville.

He strives in off man situations and also doesn’t do a bad job in man coverage, though he’ll need to make some improvements.

Alexander is a safe and rewarding pick for the Browns and he can come in and start right away.

Round 4:

Pick 126:

The Cleveland Browns select SS Steven Parker from Oklahoma

As I said before its essential the Browns draft depth to improve the secondary.

Parker is big and strong and can bring in fierce competition to the safety position next season.

Round 5:

Pick 129:

The Cleveland Browns select DE Jayln Holmes from the Ohio State University.

Sitting at 6’5 270 pounds, Holmes would add more depth and speed on the edge for the pass rush.

He racked up two sacks and three tackles for a loss in 2017, as Holmes also forced two fumbles.

Another quick pass rusher with size can be brutal for the QB’s in the AFC North for years to come.

Round 5:

Pick 152:

The Cleveland Browns select WR Cedric Wison from Boise State.

Browns need big time playmakers down the field.

Wilson is just that, in 2017 he caught 83 passes for 1,511 yards and 7 touchdowns for an 18.3 YPR average.

A big time playmaker downfield and a team who is desperately looking for just that

Wilson fits into Cleveland just right in the fifth round.

Round 6:

Pick 161:

The Cleveland Browns select LB Mike McCray from Michigan.

In 2017, McCray played in one of the nations best defenses.

He racked up four sacks, he forced a fumble and had 16 tackles for a loss.

Very productive around the line of scrimmage he gives the Browns even more of a threat on defense at linebacker.

High energy and very disruptive on defense, you don’t find many guys like this available in the sixth round.

Great pick for the Browns.

Round 7:

Pick 193:

The Cleveland Browns select QB JT Barrett from the Ohio State University.

Barrett was one of the best quarterbacks in college football, not just last year but of all time.

He beat out Drew Brees and took the Big Ten conference record for most yards gained over a career, owns the most touchdowns by a QB in Big Ten history and all in all is a fantastic leader.

For a competition guy, it doesn’t get better than him.

He struggles with his accuracy, mostly down field. If paired up with the right coach, it could be fixed.

I’m not saying JT is your QB ever, because most likely he never will be. He’s not the kind of quarterback that lasts in the NFL.

But what do you have to lose in round 7?

Browns get themselves a backup for the future to end there 2018 NFL Draft.
