The Cleveland Browns select quarterback Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma.

Well Cleveland, you get the quarterback of the future and it’s a great pick. Hopefully this organization doesn’t look too much into the Manziel comparison.

Let me make this very clear, Baker Mayfield is ten times the quarterback Johnny Manziel ever was, and I have to say it. He’s a way better person as well.

What do you get with a kid like Mayfield? Passion, fire and ability.

Baker has thrown for 41 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. May I add the 4,340 yards and 71% completion rating with it?

This kid has superstar ability, yes he has done some things on the field that has gotten him into some trouble but he’s a kid, and he loves this game.

Cleveland is the perfect home for Mayfield.

There’s the drunk incident with the police but it’s nothing compared to what Johnny Manziel did at Texas A&M and in Cleveland. Don’t mix up ignorance for fire and a bit of immaturity.

Great pick for the Browns, and a great fit for Baker Mayfield.

Pick 7 (From HOU) :

The Cleveland Browns select Denzel Ward CB from the Ohio State University

It’s obvious the Browns are lacking depth in the secondary outside of Jason McCourty and Briean Boddy-Calhoun.

They finally break the tradition of not drafting Buckeyes when they snag the best corner in the nation in Denzel Ward.

This pick alone can help the Browns immediately, not only are they adding the best CB in the nation in my opinion, they’re also putting him along side a young and talented secondary.

I think with the right coaches in place, the Browns get themselves a Pro Bowl caliber player immediately.

It’s essential the Browns draft to help this secondary, the defensive line looks to be something special for the future, and I’d have to say the same about the LB unit with the emergence of MLB Joe Schobert.

Ward is the guy who will turn this secondary around overnight.

Round 2:

Pick 33:

The Cleveland Browns select RB Bryce Love from Stanford

Love is averaging over 8 yards per carry, he’s rushed for over 1,900 yards and 17 touchdowns.

The Browns need a big time player in the backfield, Isaiah Crowell has been nothing short of disappointing, adding Bryce Love would be a slam dunk for the Browns.

Personally I think he’s just as good if not better than Saquon Barkley, he may not have Barkley beat physically, but Bryce Love does have him beat in the consistency department.

Cleveland finds the running back of the future for there organization with the first pick in the second round.

Round 2:

Pick 40:

The Cleveland Browns select Donte Jackson CB from LSU

The Browns take another talented cornerback to build their young secondary, with this addition the Browns become athletically scary.

Jackson’s frame could be a concern weighing in at only 172 pounds, but that doesn’t stop an organization from taking a first round talent.

Strength and conditioning coaches are paid for a reason, although I don’t see Jackson’s conditioning being much of a problem, he has a good eye for the ball, he wraps up when tackling and his speed doesn’t lie, and too make things better, did I mention this guy loves to hit hard?

Cleveland is now ready to defend the passing game for years to come.

Round 2:

Pick 61:

The Cleveland Browns select WR Equanimeous St. Brown from Notre Dame

With the return of Josh Gordon the Browns look to finally have a receiver who is dominant, but his past makes you wonder if he’s seriously back for good?

Corey Coleman in his first two years hasn’t been so impressive, from back to back years of injuries and issues with dropping the ball, he looks far from consistent, yet I wouldn’t give up on Coleman just yet.

With the pick of St. Brown assuming Gordon stays clean and Coleman continues to work hard, this receiving group could be dangerous for years to come.

This pick is a steal for the Cleveland Browns as they get a 6’5 200 pound frame, who is already a threat in the red zone, just need a solid veteran in that room to help mentor him

With 4.44 speed and 6’5 size St. Brown can quickly make an impact for the Browns.
