Jamie Collins out, Myles Garrett doubtful against Colts

Browns linebacker Jamie Collins has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

He remains in the concussion protocol after sustaining a concussion in last Sunday’s loss against Baltimore.

Defensive end Myles Garrett (ankle) and wide receiver Sammie Coates (hamstring) are listed as doubtful.

When asked about Garrett’s readiness to return from the high ankle sprain, head coach Hue Jackson had this to say:

I’m sure they’ll let Garrett test the ankle at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday morning before making a final decision however there’s no need to rush him back and if he can’t be 100%, the Browns shouldn’t risk making the injury worse.

Leslie elevated from practice squad

The team made it official on Friday afternoon that wide receiver Jordan Leslie was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster.

To make room for him, the team waived wide receiver Reggie Davis who was claimed off waivers on September 3 but never appeared in a game.

With Coates being the likely inactive receiver, Leslie should get a good look at some snaps this Sunday with the wide receiver position been struggling the first couple weeks.
