Just when you thought the Browns were done after drafting Jabrill Peppers, they had one more move up their sleeve.
They traded up from the 33rd overall selection with the Green Bay Packers to the 29th overall selection to draft Miami tight end David Njoku. They also traded the 108th overall pick (Fourth round) to Green Bay.
Njoku is an athletic freak who is apart of a long line of tight ends to come out of Miami. Jeremy Shockey, Bubba Franks, Kellen Winslow and Greg Olsen have also been first rounds pick who were a Hurricane tight end.
He’s only 20 years old and is still raw as a blocker and will need to add some strength going forward. Gary Barnidge is 31 years old so the Browns needed to find their tight end of the future. They drafted Seth DeValve last year but he’ll likely be the second tight end for the future behind Njoku.
