Browns Draft History: #108 pick

Leading up to the NFL Draft, I’ll be looking back at past draft picks for the Browns based on the picks they currently hold in the 2017 Draft.

Today we’ll look at the 108th pick, the Browns have held this pick three times previously.

1952-Bob Finnell

No info on Finnell, he never played in an NFL game.

1954-DT Tom Jones, Miami (OH)
I didn’t find much info on the Browns ninth round pick in 1954. He played in only two games in the 1955 season and that’s all that was of Jones’ NFL career.

However, he was still apart of the 1955 championship team.

1958-DB Bernie Parrish, Florida

A ninth round pick, Parrish established himself as a “steal” for head coach/GM Paul Brown.

In eight seasons with the Browns, he recorded at least two interceptions in all but one season.

In 1960, he had 6 interceptions including a 92 yard return for a touchdown.

In 1961, he had a career best 7 interceptions.

He was also apart of two championship teams with the Browns in 1960 and 1963, the same years he was selected to the Pro Bowl.

He spent his last season with the Houston Oilers after playing just one game with the Browns.

Career stats

105 games

31 interceptions

5 fumble recoveries

4 defensive touchdowns

2 Pro Bowl appearances
