The offseason has officially begun and the draft order is officially set.

The Cleveland Browns finished with a 3-14 record and because of New England beating the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, they moved up to second in the draft order, their highest selection since selecting first and fourth overall in 2018.

With that, we can really start ramping up the mock draft content and starting this week’s edition with a big time trade.

Shoutout to Mock Draft Database for updating the draft order early in their simulator so I can make this mock draft!

First Round

*TRADE*: The Cleveland Browns send the second overall pick and the 166th pick to the New Orleans Saints for the ninth overall pick, the 40th pick, the 74th pick and their 2026 first-round pick.

Mason Graham, Defensive Tackle, Michigan: With the trade down, I considered going offensive tackle with both Will Campbell and Kelvin Banks still on the board but with Graham still on the board at this point, it would be a no brainer at 9.

While the defensive tackle room is full, Dalvin Tomlinson and Shelby Harris aren’t getting any younger. Graham is great as a run stuffer as well as a pass rusher with 33 pressures including 5 sacks this past season for the Wolverines

Second Round

Pick 33 – Wyatt Milum, Offensive Tackle, West Virginia: The Browns need to address the future of offensive tackle early in the draft and Milum makes a ton of sense at the top of the second round. A solid, steady left tackle for West Virginia, Milum allowed zero sacks over the past three seasons and eight total pressures in his senior season.

Pick 40 – Jack Sawyer, EDGE, Ohio State: You can never have enough pass rushers and had I not traded back in the first, I likely would’ve selected Abdul Carter once again at the top of the draft. Sawyer has been dominant in the College Football Playoff and throughout the season for the Buckeyes with an 18.0% pass rush win rate and 54 total pressures. Pairing him up with Myles Garrett, Isaiah McGuire and Alex Wright would make Jim Schwartz job even easier.

Third Round

*TRADE* The Cleveland Browns send the 67th pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 84th pick, a 2026 Third-Round pick and a 2026 Fifth-Round pick

Pick 74 – Elic Ayomanor, Wide Reciever, Stanford: I don’t think the future of the wide receiver position for the Browns is rock solid with Jerry Jeudy and a small sample size of Cedric Tillman before his season ending concussion. That’s why I’d take another swing on a top 100 receiver like Ayomanor. He’s got solid size and hands (6 drops on 109 targets in 2024) and averaged 14.7 yards per reception with an average depth of target at 14.2 yards. Adding him into the room along with another veteran addition could give the Browns a steady room for 2025.

Pick 84 – Darien Porter, Cornerback, Iowa State: Porter is an older cornerback but with 6’4 size and solid production in his first full time season of snaps, he could be a late bloomer as a cornerback. Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski loves corners and have added one in each draft cycle during their regime.

Pick 93 – Deontae Lawson, Linebacker, Alabama: Lawson suffered a knee injury towards the end of this past season but he’s a very productive season for the Tide with 76 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception. There’s rumors he could be returning for his senior season so stay tuned on this prospect.

Fourth Round

Pick 103 – TreVeyon Henderson, Running Back, Ohio State: I grabbed Henderson in the late third in last week’s mock but he slipped in the simulator this week despite his great performance in the Rose Bowl against Oregon last week. Henderson or basically any running back in this class would be a much needed addition to a room that right now has only Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong under contract for 2025.

Sixth Round

Pick 178 – Oronde Gadsden II, Tight End, Syracuse: Gadsden is a big bodied vertical threat which he proved at Syracuse with two 900+ yard receiving seasons during his four years there. If the Browns are reverting back to Stefanski’s style of offense, the team will need to add some depth to the tight end room.

Pick 191 – Miles Frazier, Guard, LSU: The future of the Browns interior is up in the air with Joel Bitonio considering retirement and Wyatt Teller out of guaranteed money on his current deal. Cleveland drafted Zak Zinter last year but other than that the depth is bare in the middle of the offensive line.

Pick 205 – Kyle McCord, Quarterback, Syracuse: If I were in the Cleveland Browns front office and would admit to myself that they need to keep searching for a quarterback, i would throw a dart on one in each draft until something hits. I know this won’t be popular because of his attitude towards Ohio State after transferring from the program following 2023 but he did go prove himself this season for Syracuse throwing for over 4,700 yards and 34 touchdowns.

McCord has good size at 6’3, 220 lbs. and gets the ball out on average of 2.4 seconds and proved he has the abilities still that made him a five-star prospect out of high school, all it takes is him landing in the right spot to potentially become the next diamond in the rough.

Pick 214 – Xavier Nwankpa, Safety, Iowa: Not the best safety in coverage and it would be nice for the Browns to add a free safety to compete with Ronnie Hickman but Nwankpa is reliable as a box safety who could backup Grant Delpit.

Pick 215 – Jaylin Noel, Wide Reciever, Iowa State: Noel was a playmaker with the Cyclones averaging 13.8 yards per catch and 15 touchdowns over the last two seasons. He’s small in stature but has shown to be able to take the hits in tight coverage and contested catches. Worth the lottery ticket this late in the draft.
