Browns general manager Andrew Berry is always searching for talent in every avenue possible and he’s set to host a workout with one of the breakout stars of the XFL.

Cleveland is set to host XFL wide receiver Jachour Pearson this week according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Pearson also worked out for San Francisco, Atlanta and Indianapolis throughout the offseason.

Pearson led the XFL with 60 receptions to go along with 670 receiving yards and four touchdowns for the Seattle Sea Dragons and was named XFL Offensive Player of the Year after his successful season.

After spending five years in college between Western Kentucky and Ole Miss in which he had 131 receptions for 1,464 yards and seven touchdowns, Pearson went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft but was drafted by Seattle in the XFL Draft. He did spend rookie minicamp with the New York Giants but wasn’t signed.

Pearson is listed at 5’7 and 178 lbs, he’s been clocked anywhere between 4.28 and 4.42 in his forty yard dash times. He showed some explosive, playmaking ability during the XFL season and now may get an opportunity to showcase it at the NFL level.

Cleveland already has a very crowded wide receiver room heading into camp so this is an interesting news item just days away but we’ll see if anything comes of this workout and what it could mean for the Browns roster.
